British Columbia Targets Entrepreneurs Across Two Pathways in Latest Provincial Nominee Draw

Maple News reports that on June 30, British Columbia conducted a new selection round under the Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) category, aimed at entrepreneurs planning to launch a new business or to acquire and grow an existing one in the province.

This round was BC’s seventh EI selection in 2026 and its second in June, signaling a deviation from the year’s earlier pattern of one EI draw per month.

Invitations were issued across both EI streams. In the Base Stream, the minimum score stood at 118 with 14 invitations issued. In the Regional Stream, the minimum score was 113 and fewer than five invitations were issued.

Through 2026 to date, British Columbia has conducted 12 EI draws—seven in the Base Stream and five in the Regional Stream—resulting in at least 78 invitations for provincial nomination.

BC’s Entrepreneur Immigration program operates with two streams: the Base Stream, which focuses on establishing a new business, and the Regional Stream, designed to spur growth in regional communities. The province has signaled that Base Stream candidates continue to be prioritized in several rounds.

For prospective applicants, this month’s activity highlights ongoing demand for BC’s entrepreneurial pathway to permanent residency. Stay tuned to BC PNP updates, prepare a solid business plan, and be prepared for fluctuating thresholds and invitation counts.
