Maple News reports that New Brunswick issued 373 invitations across its immigration programs in a series of selection rounds from April 30 through May 3, 2026. Invitations were issued via three NB Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) streams and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).\n\nInvitations were distributed across NBPNP streams—Skilled Worker, Strategic Initiative, and Express Entry—and the Atlantic Immigration Program. The latest rounds highlight the province’s continued use of both provincial and Atlantic pathways to attract skilled workers.\n\nNotably, the May 3 draw marked the last time the New Brunswick Experience pathway would invite applicants across all occupational categories for the foreseeable future, as the province announced starting May 4 it would limit the pathway to three occupational categories: healthcare, education, and construction trades.\n\nIn these rounds, candidates were invited through NB AIP and the NBPNP streams: Skilled Worker Stream; Strategic Initiative Stream; and Express Entry Stream.\n\nWithin the Skilled Worker Stream, two draws were held: May 1, targeting the Healthcare occupational category; and May 3, open to all sectors. The May 1 draw issued 87 invitations, while the May 3 draw issued 113 invitations. Combined, the Skilled Worker Stream accounted for 200 invitations, the largest share of any single NBPNP stream in this cycle.\n\nOverall, the 373 invitations reflect NB’s ongoing effort to attract skilled workers through both provincial and Atlantic pathways as part of its immigration strategy for growth and regional balancing.
