Saskatchewan SINP Reaches 2026 Quarter-Year Milestone with 4,761 Nominations Issued

Maple News reports that Saskatchewan’s Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has issued about 4,761 nominations in 2026, roughly 26% of the year’s total allocation. The figures come from a quarterly update and provide the first snapshot of how nominations are being distributed across sectors this year.

The SINP’s 2026 allocation totals about 4,760 nominations, divided into four bands: Priority sectors (2,380, or 50%), capped sectors including Accommodation and food services (714, 15%), capped sector Retail, trade, and other services (238, 5%), capped sector Trucking (238, 5%), and Other sectors (1,190, 25%). The capped sectors are designed to moderate demand and maintain labour-market balance. Saskatchewan has identified Accommodation and food services, Retail/trade and other services, and Trucking as capped sectors for 2026.

To date, the SINP has issued 1,223 nominations across all sectors, leaving about 3,538 nominations still available for distribution this year. By sector, Priority sectors account for 689 nominations issued (roughly 29% of their 2,380 allocation). In the capped sectors, 188 of 714 have been issued for Accommodation and food services (about 26%), 74 of 238 for Retail, trade, and other services (about 31%), and 46 of 238 for Trucking (about 19%). In Other sectors, 226 of 1,190 have been issued (approximately 19%).

Maple News notes that Saskatchewan publishes these figures on a quarterly basis and does not routinely publish draw results like some other provinces. As such, this quarterly release provides the clearest early view of how nominations are moving across the province’s economy, with hospitality and logistics among the sectors showing notable activity.
