Saskatchewan hits halfway mark on 2026 SINP quota with 2,628 nominations

Maple News reports that Saskatchewan has issued 2,628 nominations under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) this year, roughly 55% of its 2026 allocation. The 2026 SINP allocation stands at 4,761 spaces, the same as the province’s finalized quota for 2025.

SINP releases quarterly nomination data, and the latest figures are current as of June 30, 2026.

For 2026, SINP distributes nominations across three sector categories: Priority sectors (2,380 spaces), Capped sectors (1,190), and Other sectors (1,191).

To date, nominations issued are: Priority sectors 1,466 (62% of the 2,380 allocation), Capped sectors 718 (60% of 1,190), and Other sectors 444 (37% of 1,191).

As of June 30, 2026, Saskatchewan had 2,133 nomination spaces still available for the remainder of 2026.

Capped sectors are those with annual caps to balance demand and labour needs; for 2026 they include accommodations and food services, retail trade and other services, and trucking.

The sector allocation shares for 2026 are: Priority sectors 50% of the total, Accommodations and food services 15%, Retail trade and other services 5%, Trucking 5%, and Other sectors 25%.
