The data show that most application types were finalized within two weeks, with overall wait times improving from Q1. The SINP Processing Statistics page, released July 14, 2026, confirms that no category posted longer wait times in Q2.
Across the nine categories tracked, five posted faster processing in Q2. International Skilled Worker applications with an Employment Offer dropped to two weeks from three. The Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway remained at two weeks (unchanged from Q1). The Agriculture Talent Pathway shortened to two weeks from three, while the Health Talent Pathway also completed in about two weeks.
The Saskatchewan Experience track for Existing Work Permits moved to two weeks from three, and International Students under Saskatchewan Experience stayed at two weeks. In the area of second reviews, applicants with a job offer saw processing shrink to one week from two, though data for second reviews without a job offer were not published. For Employer Position Assessments under the Job Approval Process, the service standard improved to three weeks from four.
In total, Saskatchewan’s provincial nominations remained strong, with the federal government allocating 4,761 SINP nominations for 2026.
Analysts note the improvements align with ongoing Saskatchewan efforts to streamline provincial nominations and improve processing efficiency, aiding both employers and prospective immigrants as the province sustains its appeal for skilled workers and international students.
