Maple News reports that Newfoundland and Labrador held its seventh provincial immigration draw on June 10, issuing 108 invitations through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). It marks the NL Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism’s first draw in June.
Of the total, 89 invitations went to NLPNP candidates and 19 to AIP candidates, representing about 82.4% for NLPNP.
The NL Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism did not disclose which NLPNP streams were invited under or the occupations targeted in this draw.
The draw bucked the 2026 trend of declining invitations, rising slightly from the previous round. The prior draw, on May 28, issued 103 invitations.
Year-to-date comparisons show 2026 has seen a wide swing: March 6 brought 445 invitations (NLPNP 362, AIP 83); March 30 had 245 (NLPNP 209, AIP 36); April 13 had 210 (NLPNP 177, AIP 33); May 1 had 190 (NLPNP 157, AIP 33); May 11 had 186 (NLPNP 168, AIP 18); May 28 had 103 (NLPNP 84, AIP 19); and June 10 had 108 (NLPNP 89, AIP 19).
As of June 10, the NL Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism has issued a total of 1,487 invitations to apply for nomination (NLPNP) or endorsement (AIP), with about 83.8% going to NLPNP candidates.
Maple News will continue to monitor Newfoundland and Labrador’s immigration program and Atlantic immigration developments for readers seeking timely, practical guidance.
