Maple News reports that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 334 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in an Express Entry draw targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. The round is the second Express Entry draw this May, continuing a year-to-date emphasis on provincial nominations within the Express Entry system.
To be considered in this draw, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 805 and had created an Express Entry candidate profile before 6:16 p.m. UTC on October 16, 2025.
Through 2026, IRCC has issued 72,341 ITAs across draw types, including 34,250 for the Canadian Experience Class, 26,000 for French-language proficiency, 4,116 for Provincial Nominee Program, 4,000 for healthcare and social services, 3,000 for trades, 391 for physicians with Canadian work experience, and 250 for senior managers with Canadian work experience.
Today’s draw is the 28th Express Entry selection of 2026 and the second in May, underscoring IRCC’s continued emphasis on provincial nominations and in-Canada credentials as the year progresses.
Maple News will continue to monitor federal and provincial draws, policy changes, and opportunities for applicants who hold a provincial nomination or Canadian work experience.
