Manitoba PNP Hits 2026 High with 308 LAAs in Largest Draw Yet, Targeting Health Occupations and Strategic Recruitment

Maple News reports that on April 23, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its latest immigration draw, issuing 308 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across two selection streams. This marks the largest MPNP draw of 2026 to date.

In the occupation-specific component, the MPNP issued 192 LAAs to candidates currently employed in Manitoba in health occupations (NOC broad category 3). Eligible applicants must be working in Manitoba in that category and meet all Skilled Worker in Manitoba requirements. Applicants under the International Education Stream were not considered in this component.

The remaining 116 LAAs were issued through the Strategic Recruitment selection, part of the Skilled Worker Stream (Manitoba and Overseas). These invitations were extended directly by the MPNP under a targeted recruitment initiative designed to attract skilled workers where Manitoba has labor needs.

Of the total LAAs, 105 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code, underscoring Manitoba’s continued alignment with federal pathways for faster permanent residency processing.

This draw, designated Expression of Interest Draw #269, highlights Manitoba’s ongoing strategy to prioritize healthcare talent and to leverage both domestic and international channels to fill in-demand roles. Maple News will keep tracking Manitoba’s PNP activity and what it means for applicants seeking provincial nomination.
