Maple News reports that Alberta will begin charging a $135 fee for submitting a Worker Expression of Interest (WEOI) under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AAIP), with the fee taking effect on April 7, 2026. The change applies to all candidates in the AAIP’s worker streams, and the WEOI fee is in addition to existing AAIP costs. Previously, WEOIs were submitted at no charge, while other AAIP fees remained unchanged.
