Maple News reports that on June 18, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 124 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways, as part of a strategic recruitment initiative and for those holding Manitoba-supported work permits.
The largest share of LAAs went to candidates invited via the Employer Services initiative, with other streams contributing smaller shares under the province’s targeted approach. In total, the LAAs were distributed across several strategic recruitment channels to address labour-market needs.
Detailed breakdown: Employer Services issued 49 LAAs; the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) issued 32 LAAs; Regional Communities 19; Francophone Community 15; and Ethnocultural Communities 9.
Among the 124 LAAs, 22 were issued to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, reflecting eligibility metadata tied to Express Entry streams.
To qualify, candidates indicated in their Expression of Interest that they were invited either through a recruitment mission or through the now-expired TPP policy. On May 1, 2026, Manitoba announced it would conduct targeted EOI draws to invite individuals with Support Letters under the TPP, beginning with letters approved between April 22, 2025 and June 30, 2025.
Maple News notes that some candidates who appeared to meet draw criteria may have been excluded from this draw for reasons not disclosed. This marks Manitoba’s 12th provincial immigration draw of the year, all conducted through the Skilled Worker Stream, underscoring the province’s emphasis on strategic recruitment to align immigration with local labour needs.
