Maple News reports that the Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) conducted its first immigration draw after shifting to an Expression of Interest system earlier this year. The draw occurred on March 25 and invited 65 candidates through the Employer-Driven Stream.
From a pool of 295 profiles at the time of selection, the 65 invitations were awarded to the highest-ranking applicants. Invitations by pathway were: NWT Express Entry, 32; Skilled Worker, 20; and Entry Level/Semi-Skilled, 13. The minimum EOI scores ranged from 417 to 597, with about 49% of invitations issued through the NWT Express Entry pathway.
The NTNP also released its full draw schedule for 2026, detailing two additional Employer-Driven draws planned for later in the year, each inviting up to 65 candidates to submit a complete nomination.
The Government of the Northwest Territories published a news release on April 16 confirming the draw results and the upcoming schedule. Applicants aiming to benefit should focus on maximizing their EOI scores and aligning credentials with local labor demands, as higher-scoring profiles tend to perform better in NTNP draws.
Maple News will continue to monitor NTNP updates and report on the outcomes of the remaining 2026 draws for prospective applicants and employers.
