Alberta AAIP Draws Target Health Care, Construction and Manufacturing, Issuing 298 Invitations

Maple News reports that five draws under Alberta’s Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) were conducted between March 17 and March 27, 2026, delivering at least 298 invitations to applicants across multiple streams and pathways.

Invitations were issued through these streams and pathways: Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Construction); Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Manufacturing); Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway; Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry; Rural Renewal Stream.

Draw details (March 17–27, 2026) show invitations totaling at least 298 across the five draws, with the following specifics: March 27 — Alberta Express Entry Stream: Law Enforcement Pathway, minimum score 46, fewer than 10 invitations; March 26 — Rural Renewal Stream, minimum score 50, 60 invitations; March 24 — Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry), minimum score 54, 102 invitations; March 19 — Alberta Express Entry Stream: Priority Sectors (Construction), minimum score 59, 109 invitations; March 17 — Alberta Express Entry Stream: Priority Sectors (Manufacturing), minimum score 50, 27 invitations.

As of this writing, the AAIP has conducted 23 draws in 2026, with the majority of invitations issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream.

Earlier in the month, six draws held between February 26 and March 16 produced more than 1,400 invitations, underscoring Alberta’s continued focus on health care, trades, and rural immigration.

AAIP also publishes ongoing nomination data for 2026, confirming a total allocation of 6,403 nominations across its streams. The April 1, 2026 update shows issued versus remaining nominations by stream, reflecting Alberta’s labor-market priorities.
