Work permits: Overall, processing times shortened for some in-Canada submissions and for applications from the Philippines, but lengthened by one week for submissions from Pakistan and Nigeria. For current estimates, Canada-based work permits are at 120 days (down from 122). India remains at 9 weeks, the United States at 3 weeks, and the Philippines at 6 weeks (down from 7). Pakistan rose to 11 weeks (from 10), and Nigeria rose to 7 weeks (from 6). IRCC also specifies service standards of 120 days for in-Canada submissions and 60 days for submissions from outside Canada.
Study permits: After four weeks of stability, study-permit processing times increased by one week for Pakistan (7 weeks, up from 6) and Nigeria (6 weeks, up from 5). Canada and India stay at 7 and 5 weeks respectively, the United States at 5 weeks, and the Philippines at 4 weeks with no change from the prior week.
