Maple News Reports: GTA Workers Among 997 Invitations in Ontario Employer Job Offer Draws

Maple News reports that on April 30, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) carried out two Employer Job Offer draws targeting the Greater Toronto Area, spanning roles in healthcare, construction and trades, administration, and tech/IT.

A total of 997 Invitations to Apply were issued across the two streams, with the Foreign Worker stream accounting for the majority of invitations and 277 issued under the International Student stream.

Specifically, 720 invitations went to Foreign Workers and 277 to International Students. The minimum cutoff scores were 57 for the Foreign Worker stream and 81 for the International Student stream.

To be considered, candidates must reside in Canada with a valid work or study permit and hold a job offer in the GTA. The GTA for these draws includes the Census Divisions of Durham, Peel, Toronto, and York.

Ontario’s end-of-April draws reflect a continued push to attract skilled workers and international graduates to the province’s labor market, particularly in high-demand sectors within the Greater Toronto Area. This round marks the sixth Ontario selection in April, following a prior series on April 23 that invited more than 2,000 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.

Maple News will continue to monitor Ontario’s PNP activity and its impact on GTA employers and prospective nominees.
