Manitoba PNP Issues 46 LAAs in Fifth 2026 Draw, Targeting Skilled Workers

Maple News reports that on March 12, 2026, Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its fifth immigration draw of the year, inviting candidates through the Skilled Worker Stream. Invitations were extended to applicants who indicated they were directly invited by the province as part of a strategic recruitment initiative or under the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates.\n\nIn total, Manitoba issued 46 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in Expression of Interest Draw #266. The invited candidates came through the program’s two Skilled Worker streams: Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas.\n\nInvitations were conditioned on EOI profiles showing an invitation from the province under one of the strategic recruitment initiatives, including the Temporary Public Policy mechanism. The largest share of LAAs went to candidates who indicated they were invited under the Employer Services recruitment initiative, comprising about 37% of the total.\n\nLAAs by initiative: Employer Services — 17; Francophone Community — 12; Ethnocultural Communities — 9; Regional Communities — 6; Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective PNP Candidates (TPP) — 2. The TPP was a temporary IRCC policy that allowed provincial nominees to obtain open work permits to maintain their status, and Manitoba’s participation ended in December 2025.\n\nThe continued flow of LAAs in this fifth draw underscores Manitoba’s ongoing focus on targeted recruitment to address local labor needs and bolster its immigration strategy. Maple News will continue to monitor Manitoba’s PNP activity and other provincial programs to keep readers informed.
