Moose Jaw Publishes 2026 RCIP Priority Sectors and Occupations, Adds Health to the List

Maple News reports that Moose Jaw has published its priority sectors and occupations for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) for 2026, outlining who may qualify for permanent residence. The city sits in south-central Saskatchewan, about 77 kilometres from Regina.

This year Moose Jaw added one sector and seven new occupations to its priority list, reflecting shifts in the regional labour market.

Moose Jaw’s six priority sectors for 2026 are:
– Business, finance, and administration;
– Sales and service;
– Trades, transport, and equipment operators;
– Manufacturing and utilities;
– Education, law and social, community, and government services; and
– Health. The health sector is a new addition.

The RCIP designates 25 occupations (with associated NOC codes) for priority consideration in Moose Jaw for 2026. Seven of these are new entries, highlighted in Moose Jaw’s published list:
– Auto body collision, refinishing and glass technicians and damage repair estimators (72411)

If the job falls under a qualifying NOC but the employer is not within the RCIP-designated area, the applicant would be ineligible.

Maple News will continue to cover RCIP developments and how Moose Jaw’s priorities align with regional labour demand.
