Ontario Invites Over 4,700 Skilled Workers in Latest Employer Job Offer Draws

Maple News reports that Ontario has extended a total of 4,729 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through its Employer Job Offer streams in two major immigration draws held on September 2 and 3, 2025. These draws, conducted under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), targeted candidates with job offers in high-demand occupations across healthcare, early childhood education, and various skilled professions.

The invitations were issued to applicants currently residing in Canada under three distinct streams: Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills. The September 2 draw focused on healthcare professionals and early childhood educators, while the September 3 draw targeted a broader range of priority occupations in sectors such as management, technology, construction, and trades.

On September 2, the province invited 2,643 candidates: 1,305 under the Foreign Worker stream (minimum score of 41), 1,105 under the International Student stream (minimum score of 58), and 233 under the In-Demand Skills stream (minimum score of 33). These invitations focused on critical roles such as registered nurses, general practitioners, clinical specialists, nurse aides, and early childhood educators.

The September 3 draw issued 1,893 invitations: 1,134 under the Foreign Worker stream (minimum score of 42) and 759 under the International Student stream (minimum score of 63). This round targeted a diverse array of professions under the “other priority occupations” category, including human resources managers, architects, therapists, IT professionals, journalists, health technologists, and construction supervisors.

Notably, both draws only considered candidates who had submitted their profiles between July 2, 2025, and the respective draw dates, ensuring that the selection pool remained recent and relevant to Ontario’s evolving labor market needs.

The broad scope of occupational categories targeted shows the province’s ongoing commitment to addressing labor shortages by attracting and retaining skilled talent in key sectors. As Ontario continues to deal with rising demand in healthcare, early learning, and skilled trades, these targeted immigration efforts serve as a strategic component in supporting economic growth and service delivery.

With these latest draws, Ontario further cements its position as one of Canada’s most dynamic provinces for skilled immigrants seeking permanent residency through employer-backed pathways.
