Manitoba Invites 37 Skilled Workers in Latest Provincial Nominee Draw

Maple News reports that the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted a targeted Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on August 7, 2025, inviting 37 skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination. The draw focused on candidates in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas categories who were identified through Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

To receive an invitation, candidates needed a minimum ranking score of 724. The Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were distributed among several targeted sectors within the province’s ongoing efforts to attract talent to priority communities and industries.

According to Manitoba officials, the distribution of the 37 invitations was as follows: 15 were allocated through employer services, 19 targeted individuals in Francophone communities, 1 invitation supported a regional community, and 2 were extended via ethnocultural communities engagement. These specialized recruitment channels align with the province’s economic, demographic, and community development goals.

Of those invited, 7 candidates had active Express Entry profiles along with a valid job seeker validation code. This highlights Manitoba’s ongoing collaboration with the federal Express Entry system in selecting skilled workers who are well-positioned to contribute to the province’s labor market.

The strategic recruitment initiative remains a key component of Manitoba’s immigration strategy, allowing the province to proactively identify qualified candidates who align with employer needs, community priorities, and economic development plans—including addressing labor shortages outside major urban centers.

The province continues to demonstrate a commitment to welcoming skilled immigrants across various sectors, with a particular focus on supporting the growth of French-speaking populations and encouraging settlement in regional areas.

This draw follows several recent rounds, including larger selection events where Manitoba issued over 200 invitations. The continued frequency and diversity of draws mark Manitoba as one of the more active and focused provinces in Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program network.

Applicants who receive a provincial nomination through MPNP can benefit from prioritized permanent residency processing with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

For those interested in settling and working in Manitoba, staying informed on upcoming draws and maintaining an active EOI profile remain important steps in the pathway to Canadian permanent residency.
