Manitoba Targets Global Talent in June PNP Draw, Issues 36 Invitations

Maple News reports that Manitoba has issued 36 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) through its Skilled Worker Overseas stream in the latest draw conducted on June 12, 2025. This targeted provincial nomination draw was part of a strategic recruitment initiative designed to attract high-potential candidates with in-demand skills from abroad.

The lowest-ranking candidate invited had a score of 613 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)’s points-based Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

Of the 36 invitations, 5 were extended to individuals who had an active Express Entry profile and a valid job seeker validation code. This aligns with federal immigration pathways, allowing these applicants to potentially benefit from expedited permanent residency processing through Canada’s Express Entry system.

This draw underscores Manitoba’s continued commitment to strategically selecting skilled workers who can support the province’s labour market and economic development goals. The province frequently uses the Skilled Worker Overseas stream to find applicants with ties to Manitoba or those identified through targeted recruitment missions.

To remain eligible for consideration, candidates are encouraged to maintain an up-to-date EOI profile and monitor changes in program criteria and draw thresholds. The Manitoba PNP regularly invites candidates whose skills are aligned with occupation shortages identified in the province.

This latest draw further reinforces the province’s proactive approach to addressing critical workforce demands through immigration. As Manitoba continues to grow its economy and diversify its workforce, the Skilled Worker Overseas stream remains a vital tool for attracting global talent.

According to Maple News, interested applicants should ensure their eligibility profiles reflect their most recent work experience, language test scores, and connections to Manitoba, if applicable. Provincial nominations through MPNP offer a significant advantage in the federal immigration process, especially when paired with Express Entry eligibility.
