Maple News reports that St-Pierre-Jolys, a Manitoba village about 50 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg, has published its 2026 priority sectors and occupations under the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP).
In 2026, the town added one sector and 10 new occupations to its FCIP in-demand list, while 10 occupations were removed.
To pursue permanent residence and settle in St-Pierre-Jolys, applicants must have a qualifying job offer and meet minimum French-language proficiency requirements.
Six sectors are prioritized in 2026: Health; Education, law and social, community and government services; Sales and services; Business, finance and administration; Trades, transport and equipment operators; and Natural resources, agriculture and related production. Education, law and social, community and government services and Sales and services are treated as equally prioritized.
The sector mix aligns closely with the list used in 2025, with the notable addition of Natural resources, agriculture and related production. The expansion likely reflects sustained employer interest in FCIP and ongoing labor needs in these fields.
St-Pierre-Jolys is prioritizing 25 occupations under the FCIP for 2026, mapped to National Occupational Classification codes. Some occupations are newly targeted this year, while others remained on the list from 2025. The full roster is outlined by the village and Manitoba authorities.
Maple News will continue to monitor FCIP updates and how they shape opportunities for Francophone settlers in Manitoba. For individualized guidance, consult an experienced immigration representative.
