Saskatchewan Issues 535 Invitations for Permanent Residence in Latest PNP Draw

Maple News reports that on September 24, Saskatchewan held a new round of invitations under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), extending 535 invitations to skilled immigration candidates. These expressions of interest (EOIs) were issued through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), targeting qualified candidates in its Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams.

To be considered in this draw, candidates were required to submit an Expression of Interest profile, a pre-application step that helps the province select individuals with the skills and background to successfully integrate into Saskatchewan’s labor market and communities.

The EOI selection process uses the SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid, which ranks candidates out of 100 points based on five key criteria: education, skilled work experience, language proficiency, age, and connections to Saskatchewan. In this particular draw, the minimum score required for both categories was 82.

Notably, candidates do not need a job offer to receive an invitation from Saskatchewan. However, they must demonstrate at least one year of relevant work experience in a skilled occupation related to their field of study to qualify.

Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs) were also a mandatory requirement for invited candidates. These assessments are essential to verify how foreign qualifications compare to Canadian education standards, supporting the province’s focus on selecting candidates most likely to succeed in the local workforce.

The draw reflects Saskatchewan’s targeted approach toward aligning immigration with labor market needs. The SINP continues to play a crucial role in Canada’s broader immigration strategy by empowering provinces to nominate individuals who will contribute to regional development.

Through regular draws like this one, Saskatchewan is opening pathways for skilled workers to transition to permanent residency and settle in one of Canada’s fastest-growing regions.

Maple News will continue to provide timely updates on provincial nominee draws and key developments in Canadian immigration policy.
