Maple News reports that Prince Edward Island conducted its third provincial immigration draw of 2026 on March 20, issuing invitations through the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams of the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
According to the PEI Office of Immigration, the province continues to prioritize candidates employed in sectors with higher economic impact, building on a pattern seen in earlier rounds.
Through the first three draws of 2026, PEI has issued a total of 236 invitations, all via the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.
In this latest draw, 101 invitations were issued across Labour Impact and Express Entry categories. As with the previous rounds this year, the selections place added emphasis on occupations and priority sectors with provincial labor needs, including healthcare, trades, manufacturing, and related industries.
International graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island, Holland College, and Collège de l’Ile were given priority in this round.
PEI’s March 20 draw also marked a slight shift in timing, departing from the anticipated Invitation to Apply schedule by one day (March 20 rather than March 19 in January and February). The province notes that individuals working in sales and service may not receive invitations at this time.
