Ontario Issues 1,112 Invitations in Five Targeted PNP Draws, Maple News Reports

Maple News reports that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted five targeted draws on March 25, 2026, issuing 1,112 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with job offers in high-demand occupations across the province. To be invited, applicants must be currently residing in Canada with a valid work or study permit.

This round marks the province’s fourth invitation cycle in 2026, following draws on February 2, February 18, and March 18.

Invitations were spread across five Ontario regions: the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario (excluding the GTA), Eastern Ontario, and Northern Ontario. The GTA received the largest share with 431 ITAs, while Northern Ontario issued the fewest at 57.

Region-by-region breakdown shows variation in eligible streams and minimum scores. In the GTA, invitations were issued under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker (FW) and International Student (IS) streams, with minimum scores of 61 for FW and 90 for IS. Southwestern Ontario also used FW and IS, with minimums of 53 and 81 respectively. Central Ontario (ex GTA) included FW, IS, and In-Demand Skills (IDS), delivering 199 invitations; FW minimum 55, IS minimum 82, and IDS minimum 32. Eastern Ontario invited FW, IS, and IDS for 174 invitations, with minimums of 57 (FW) and 83 (IS); IDS minimums were not listed. Northern Ontario offered FW and IS in 57 invitations, with FW minimum 54 and IS minimum 80.

The In-Demand Skills stream was used only in Eastern and Central Ontario draws to open invitations for candidates with a qualifying job offer as a home support worker (NOC 44101).

Eligible profiles must have been created and attested to (supported by a job offer from an eligible employer) by March 23, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time. Profiles created before July 2, 2025, were not considered.

Ontario’s targeted draws continue to reflect regional labor-market priorities, notably in healthcare, technology, business administration, and trades, as the province seeks to attract skilled workers and international graduates. Maple News will keep monitoring the program and share updates on further opportunities for prospective applicants.
