Maple News reports that the Government of New Brunswick conducted a new round of immigration draws from March 3 to March 6, 2026, issuing a total of 622 invitations across the NB Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The draw spanned three NBPNP streams, with some streams offering multiple pathways, and it included invitations through the Atlantic Immigration Program as well.
All Expressions of Interest (EOIs) used in this round had a cutoff date of March 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time.
Within the NB Skilled Worker Stream, invitations were issued through two pathways: the New Brunswick Experience pathway and the New Brunswick Graduates pathway. These two pathways combined for 279 invitations and prioritized candidates based on their occupational category. The skilled worker component represented roughly 45% of total invitations, making it the largest category in this round. The targeted occupations highlighted included health care; education, social and community services; construction trades; and professional occupations.
Beyond the Skilled Worker Stream, the remaining invitations were spread across the NB Strategic Initiative Stream, the NB Express Entry Stream, and invitations issued through the Atlantic Immigration Program, reflecting NB’s continued focus on attracting workers to high-demand sectors.
Maple News notes that this round aligns with New Brunswick’s ongoing strategy to bolster its labor market by drawing in skilled workers, graduates, and experienced professionals to fill priority roles in health, education, trades, and related fields.
