Maple News reports that the province of New Brunswick has issued 522 new invitations to immigration candidates under three separate draws held between October 6 and 9, 2025, as part of its Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). These targeted selections focused on attracting skilled workers and recent graduates in high-demand sectors such as healthcare, education, construction, and community services.
The largest portion of invitations—221 in total—went to candidates under the Express Entry Stream via the Employment in New Brunswick pathway. This draw, conducted between October 8 and 9, 2025, was open to all sectors and aimed to bolster the provincial workforce with professionals who already have job offers in the province. Candidates who submitted their profiles before the cut-off date of October 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (AST) were considered.
Reflecting New Brunswick’s urgent need for healthcare professionals, the province conducted a targeted draw under the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream – Experience Pathway on October 6 and 7, selecting 91 candidates with active work experience in healthcare roles. Hospitals, long-term care homes, and clinics throughout the province continue to face labor shortages, making this an ongoing immigration focus.
In a parallel effort to retain local talent, the province issued 210 invitations through the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream – Graduates Pathway. This draw, also held on October 6 and 7, prioritized recent graduates from New Brunswick post-secondary institutions. Eligible occupations included those in healthcare, education, construction trades, and community services. Notably, roles classified under NOC 75101 – Material Handlers—were excluded.
These draws reflect New Brunswick’s strategic approach to immigration, targeting both experienced professionals and newly graduated talent who can help address key sectoral shortages. The province continues to utilize its PNP streams in alignment with local labor market demands and long-term economic plans.
Province officials noted that while invitations were issued in October, not all applications will be finalized within the 2025 calendar year. Some may carry over into early 2026, a common practice within Canada’s provincial immigration processing timelines.
As part of its ongoing efforts, New Brunswick regularly invites skilled workers and graduates through various immigration streams, reinforcing its goal to strengthen the labor market and support community growth across the province.
For newcomers and international graduates looking to settle in New Brunswick, these draws offer a promising opportunity to qualify for permanent residency in one of Canada’s fastest-evolving provincial migration programs.
