Manitoba Prioritizes Regional and Francophone Talent in Latest Immigration Draw

Maple News reports that Manitoba has issued 77 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), as part of a targeted Expression of Interest (EOI) draw held on August 21, 2025.

The draw, conducted under the Skilled Worker stream, included candidates from both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways. All invitees were selected through strategic recruitment initiatives, underscoring the province’s effort to meet precise labour market and community development goals.

The lowest ranking score among selected candidates was 612. The distribution of the 77 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) further highlights Manitoba’s focus on specific demographic and geographic groups:
– Francophone Community: 29
– Regional Communities: 31
– Ethnocultural Communities: 11
– Employer Services: 6

Of these 77 invitations, 18 were issued to candidates with valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes, offering them a streamlined route to permanent residency.

Manitoba continues to place strategic emphasis on attracting French-speaking immigrants and supporting regional growth through immigration. This approach reinforces the province’s commitment to both economic development and cultural diversity, particularly within rural and underserved areas.

The province’s ongoing integration of community-based recruitment initiatives reflects an evolving Provincial Nominee Program model—one that shifts focus from general intake to a more refined selection aligned with Manitoba’s long-term socio-economic goals.

This draw forms part of Manitoba’s broader immigration strategy for 2025, as the province seeks to attract highly skilled foreign workers who can integrate smoothly and fulfill specific labour demands across its regions.

Maple News will continue to monitor future MPNP draws and provide timely insights for international candidates looking to settle in Manitoba.
