Maple News reports that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 4,000 invitations to apply in a Canadian Experience Class draw conducted through the Express Entry system. To qualify, candidates needed a minimum CRS score of 508 and had to have created an Express Entry profile by 10:35 a.m. UTC on June 24, 2025. This draw is the twelfth Express Entry selection of 2026. The CRS threshold at 508 sits near the two-year low for the Canadian Experience Class, reflecting the current mix of applicants in the pool. IRCC continues to pace invitations with a focus on those already in Canada, including a strong emphasis on provincial nominations and Canadian work experience.
A breakdown of 2026 draws shows ITAs issued across draw types including Canadian Experience Class, French-language proficiency, healthcare and social services, provincial nominee programs, and physicians with Canadian work experience. Specifically, the figures list roughly 20,000 ITAs for the Canadian Experience Class, 8,500 for French-language proficiency, 4,000 for healthcare and social services, 1,798 for provincial nominee programs, and 391 for physicians with Canadian work experience. In total, IRCC has issued more than 34,600 ITAs across these categories so far in 2026.
The year’s activity underscores a continued emphasis on in-country candidates and provincial nominations, shaping opportunities for permanent residence through multiple Express Entry streams. For prospective applicants, staying engaged with provincial programs and keeping profile details updated remains essential as IRCC refines its selection approach.
