Claresholm Reveals RCIP Employers: Here’s Who’s Hiring in 2025

Maple News reports that the town of Claresholm, Alberta, has released its updated list of designated employers participating in the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), offering new opportunities for foreign nationals seeking permanent residency in Canada.

Under the RCIP program, applicants must secure a valid job offer from a designated employer in a participating rural community before they can apply for Canadian permanent residence. Claresholm, located south of Calgary, is one such community, with an RCIP boundary extending 25 kilometres to include Granum and Stavely.

For 2025, Claresholm has been allocated 30 RCIP nomination spots. These will be distributed incrementally throughout the year—four per month—to efficiently manage application volume. Any unused spots will be rolled over to the end of the year.

As of the latest update, the following employers in Claresholm are designated under the RCIP:

– Structural Precast (Manufacturing and Utilities) – Hiring
– CFI Flight Academy (Education and Law) – Hiring
– Tim Hortons (Sales and Services) – Hiring

Several other employers, while currently not hiring, remain designated under the program. These include El Molino, A&W, Casa Roma, Antree, and Roy’s Place. According to the community, these businesses are supporting permanent residency applications only for their existing temporary foreign workers. Job seekers are discouraged from contacting them about new opportunities.

To ensure transparency, all RCIP job postings are required to appear on the Canada Job Bank. Interested candidates are encouraged to regularly check this platform and verify if the employer making the job offer is included on Claresholm’s designated list.

Eligibility for the RCIP goes beyond having a job offer. Candidates must also meet other federal and community-specific requirements, which typically include language proficiency, relevant work experience, and educational background.

The RCIP initiative, launched to address labour shortages and support economic development in rural Canada, continues to attract global talent to smaller communities like Claresholm. More updates to the employer list are expected throughout the year, providing ongoing opportunities for skilled workers.

Maple News will continue to monitor RCIP developments and report on new employment openings as they become available.
