Manitoba PNP Draw Invites 205 Applicants Through Skilled Worker and Graduate Streams

Maple News reports that the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 205 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in its latest immigration draw held on November 5. This latest round targets skilled workers and international graduates who are on track to help meet regional labor demands and economic development goals.

The invitations were distributed through three of Manitoba’s key immigration streams:

– Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 166 candidates received LAAs, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 461 points on the Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
– Skilled Workers Overseas: 16 invitations were issued to candidates scoring a minimum of 708, all through strategic recruitment initiatives.
– International Education Stream: 23 LAAs were awarded with no minimum EOI score requirement.

Among the total 205 invitations, seven were issued to candidates with active Express Entry profiles. The MPNP has highlighted that such candidates must possess a valid Express Entry ID, a job seeker validation code, and verified experience in one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations to remain eligible. Failure to meet these conditions could result in refusal of the application.

In this draw, only Skilled Worker Overseas candidates who had been directly invited under a strategic initiative were considered. Candidates working in regulated occupations were also among those invited; however, the MPNP warned that applicants who cannot prove their regulatory licensing or employment compliance in Manitoba may be denied or are advised to decline the LAA.

Candidates who missed out on receiving an LAA despite high scores may have been affected by outdated or incorrect EOI information, including expired language test results or missing invitation details. The MPNP encourages those affected to update their profiles to maintain eligibility for future draws.

This draw brings Manitoba’s total number of LAAs issued in 2023 to 4,273, reflecting the province’s continuing commitment to welcoming skilled talent that supports its labor market priorities.

According to Maple News, MPNP draws serve as a vital pathway for international talent—including Express Entry candidates—to join Manitoba’s growing economy. Express Entry applicants are evaluated using Canada’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which considers factors such as age, education, language proficiency, and professional experience.

For individuals aiming to immigrate to Manitoba, keeping their EOI profile accurate and understanding MPNP’s eligibility requirements are essential steps in the process.
