Manitoba Targets Francophone and Regional Talent in Latest PNP Draw

Maple News reports that the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has issued 19 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in its latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw held on July 24, 2025. The draw specifically targeted skilled workers under strategic recruitment initiatives, with candidates coming from both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams.

All selected individuals were directly invited by Manitoba’s immigration officers through the province’s strategic recruitment channels, emphasizing its tailored approach to addressing local labour market needs.

The lowest-ranked candidate in this round had a ranking score of 611, reflecting consistent competitiveness within the program. Among the 19 candidates, 3 possessed valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes, allowing them to potentially benefit from streamlined federal permanent residence processing.

A majority of LAAs—11 in total—were allocated to candidates from Francophone communities, underscoring Manitoba’s continued support for French-speaking newcomers to strengthen linguistic diversity and cultural integration across the province. The remaining invitations were distributed among various strategic groups: 2 through Employer Services, 3 from Regional Communities, and another 3 representing Ethnocultural Communities.

This draw demonstrates Manitoba’s ongoing commitment to attracting talent beyond urban centres, aligned with its broader economic development goals and demographic sustainability strategy. By focusing on candidates already engaged through targeted initiatives, the province ensures a better match between immigrants’ profiles and Manitoba’s labour force requirements.

The province continues to use the PNP as a vital tool for regional immigration, aiming to bring skilled professionals into communities where their contributions will have an immediate and meaningful impact. As Manitoba advances its immigration strategy in 2025, prospective applicants are encouraged to monitor program updates and participate in relevant recruitment initiatives.

Through these efforts, Manitoba is not only addressing current labour shortages but also laying the groundwork for long-term economic resilience and community vitality across its diverse regions.

Maple News will continue to provide updates on PNP developments and Canada’s dynamic immigration landscape.
